RheumX Terms of Use
Effective Date: July 2026
These Terms of Use apply to RheumX, a clinician-facing rheumatology reference and decision-support app.
By using RheumX, you agree to these Terms of Use and to any applicable Apple App Store terms, including Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless a custom license agreement applies.
Apple Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
1. Professional Use
RheumX is intended for clinician-facing education, reference, and decision-support.
RheumX does not replace independent professional judgment, institutional policies, local requirements, or applicable clinical standards.
2. Medical Disclaimer
RheumX does not provide autonomous diagnosis, autonomous treatment decisions, emergency guidance, drug dosing, or a substitute for clinician judgment.
Clinicians remain responsible for evaluating all information, confirming source materials, and making independent professional decisions.
RheumX is not intended for patient self-diagnosis or emergency use.
3. Subscriptions
RheumX offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase.
Current subscription options may include:
- RheumX Monthly: 1 month, $29.99/month
- RheumX Annual: 1 year, $249.99/year
Subscription prices may vary by country or region and are displayed by Apple before purchase.
RheumX currently uses the standard monthly and annual subscription prices shown above. RheumX currently does not offer an introductory offer, free trial, or first-three-month promotional price.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to the user's Apple ID account. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in their App Store account settings.
RheumX does not process or store full payment card information. Subscription billing is handled by Apple.
4. Restore Purchases
If subscription access is available, users may use the Restore Purchases option in the app to restore eligible purchases associated with their Apple ID.
5. Privacy
Use of RheumX is also governed by the RheumX Privacy Policy: https://rheumx.org/privacy/
6. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to:
- enter patient-identifying information or PHI into the app;
- use RheumX for emergency care or urgent clinical decision-making;
- rely on RheumX as the sole basis for diagnosis, treatment, drug dosing, or clinical management;
- misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with app security;

7. Clinical Reference Content
RheumX may include educational, reference, source, or decision-support content. Content is provided for professional reference and must be interpreted by qualified clinicians.
RheumX does not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or applicable to every clinical circumstance.
8. AI, Provider, or External Services
Live provider, RAG, delivery, or external AI services are not required to purchase a RheumX subscription or use the current app workflow. Any future AI-assisted, provider, RAG, delivery, or external service feature must be used only as clinician-facing decision support and not as autonomous medical advice.
