RheumX Privacy Policy

RheumX is a clinician-facing rheumatology reference and decision-support app. RheumX is intended to support professional education, clinical reference, and clinician workflow awareness. RheumX is not a substitute for independent clinical judgment.
RheumX does not provide autonomous diagnosis, autonomous treatment decisions, emergency guidance, or drug dosing.
1. Information We Collect
RheumX is designed to minimize data collection. The app does not require users to enter patient-identifying information or protected health information (PHI).
Users should not enter patient names, medical record numbers, contact details, patient images, files, patient identifiers, or other patient-identifying information into RheumX.
Depending on how the app is used, RheumX may process limited app-related information such as:
- account or sign-in information, if account access is enabled;
- subscription status or entitlement information provided through Apple services;
- support communications submitted by the user; and
- app diagnostics or technical information needed to operate, secure, debug, or improve the app.
2. Information We Do Not Request
For the current app workflow, RheumX does not request or require:
- patient names;
- medical record numbers;
- patient contact information;
- patient identifiers;
- images or files containing patient-identifying information; or
- protected health information for clinical care delivery.
Users are responsible for not entering patient-identifying information into free-text fields or support requests.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
RheumX offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase.
Payments, subscription management, renewals, cancellations, refunds, billing history, and payment methods are handled by Apple through the user's Apple ID and App Store account.
RheumX does not receive or store full payment card information.
4. How We Use Information
RheumX may use app-related information to:
- provide and maintain app functionality;
- manage account access or subscription entitlement status;
- respond to support requests;
- improve app reliability and security; and
- comply with legal, safety, and operational obligations.
5. Third-Party Services
RheumX may use Apple services such as StoreKit for subscriptions and platform functionality.
Live provider, RAG, delivery, or external AI services are not required to purchase a RheumX subscription or use the current app workflow. Any future provider integration must follow no-PHI safeguards and updated privacy controls.
6. Patient Data and PHI
RheumX does not intentionally collect patient-identifying information or PHI for the current app workflow.
RheumX is not intended to be used as a patient chart, medical record system, emergency system, or autonomous clinical decision system.
7. Data Retention
RheumX retains app-related information only as long as needed for app operation, support, security, legal, or business purposes.
Users may contact support for privacy-related requests.
8. Data Security
RheumX uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect app-related information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
RheumX is intended for clinician-facing professional use and is not directed to children.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
